In Once Upon a Time, the residents lives in Storybrooke revolve and are based on stories in a book. The things that happened in the Enchanted Forest are written in the book of Fairytales, and these past events have been, and are, affecting the characters lives in Storybrooke.
In the real world, Christians rely heavily on the passages that are proclaimed in the Bible. These passages help influence Christians on their decisions of what is right and what is wrong. It helps develop their values.
When Henry is struggling with something he doesn't understand, or when he feels everyone is against him, he always turns to the book for answers and comfort.
When Christians are struggling with concepts of life that are not familiar to them or things that they cannot understand, they turn to the Bible for guidance and comfort
When Henry's mother, Regina, discovers that Henry has this book, and that he believes in the stories that are in it, she tries multiple times to take the book away from him and destroy it but continuously fails to do so.
Many non-believers of faith, have attempted to destroy the Bible and held protests to try to prohibit it from being sold in different places. However, these people have failed to do so.
