When time came to choose a topic for this project, I knew exactly which form of pop culture I would choose.  I am a fan of the ABC Series Once Upon a Time and "The Savior" is a major character.  I started researching the T.V. series trying to draw parallels between this savior and Christianity's Savior, Jesus Christ.  Not only did I discover close similarities; I was actually surprised to see that there were multiple other motifs throughout the series that related to religion. The further I explored, the more I realized that the religion most prominent was Christianity. I hope this website was helpful in explaining how current themes in mainstream pop culture often have their origins in popular religious beliefs.
